House of Turtle is currently ‘on vacation’ due to work commitments. However, you can still find me pottering around Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook posting pretty pics and shopping tips. Or, come see what I’m working on, on LinkedIn.

As some of you would know, I’m a little bit in love with Instagram.
For those of you not familiar with Instagram, it’s a fun way to share photos from your iPhone with a wider social network. It also has great photo filters, like buttons and commenting to make it interactive. Here are a few of my fave pics from the couple of months.
Looking for some inspiration for spring? Then check out mylookbook.com Spring magazine for some fab beauty, style and travel ideas. This online flip book mag also features some great blogger talent, including Mandy Shadforth from Oracle Fox.
Amber Mac knows how to make friends online (and in person). Do you?
While you may never meet some of your online friends face-to-face, they still expect you to follow the established norms of friendship: be authentic, reach out, listen. And don’t lie to your friends. These same rules apply online.
Check out Amber Mac’s book, Power Friending to discover how you can expand your online connections into lasting friendships.
What’s more, and what House of Turtle loves about Amber, is that she’s young, hip and H-O-T!
I love her Dexter inspired ‘Texter’ clip which launched Power Friending online. Check it for yourself now:
Amber Mac is in Australia this week as a keynote speaker for the Schmart marketing conference in Melbourne, Monday 4 April and Sydney, Wednesday 6 April. Follow the conversation on Twitter @getschmart #smc11
The end of 2010 has finally come and gone. And with it, the end of a decade. What a year last year was. What a decade!

PS. Pic was taken at Riva, St Kilda on New Year’s Day 2011. I’m wearing the super fabulous sass & bide Seasons of Change vest with The Innocent One tank. Very appropriate for 1/1/11 I thought. xox
So excited, one of my fave stores on Malvern Road South Yarra, has branched out beyond the confines of regular retail hours and launched a brand spanking new online store!
If you’re anything like me the urge to shop your favourite stores often hits at random times of the day or evening, like when reading Down Yonder’s fabulous blog in the wee hours of the morning. So, an online store can help feed the addiction, fill up the wardrobe with H-O-T buys and rapidly deplete the bank account.
Even better, if you get your orders in before 23 December, you’ll get them in time for Christmas. Woo hoo! for those of us stuck at work or those far away from Malvern Road.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, Down Yonder are even offering fashion advice for when you’re a little unsure about mixing spots with leopard print – simply email them at firstname.lastname@example.org
PS. Slight delay on getting the link transfer through to the new blog… However, it is live! So the choice is yours. Check out my posts here until the official change over… or if you want to start using the new blog now, check it out at http://houseofturtle.net Would love to know your thoughts.
